Aquaventure Waterpark: Dubai’s Largest Water Park
A must-see attraction in Dubai, Aquaventure Waterpark is a water park located within the prestigious Atlantis Hotel on the artificial island of Palm Jumeirah.
This park is just like the city itself: incredible and completely over-the-top! Whether you’re looking for thrills or want to enjoy a wonderful family outing, check out our review. Our kids and we absolutely LOVED it!

What to Do at Aquaventure Dubai Waterpark?
It’s the most comprehensive water park in the Middle East. There are attractions and slides suitable for everyone! Water play areas for little ones, thrilling rides for older kids, and tubes where you can ride alone or with others. You’re sure to find something fun—it all depends on how much of a thrill you’re looking for 😉
The Best Slides
Among the most thrilling slides, here are the ones we liked the most and recommend:

Leap of Faith
Leap of Faith is the park’s most impressive water slide. It will take you on a 27.5-meter drop—about 8 stories high— almost vertically! But the thrills don’t stop there 🙂 You’ll race down the 61-meter-long slide and finish your ride by passing through a transparent tunnel that crosses a shark tank.
So even though you don’t really have time to see the sharks as you pass by, the experience is truly INCREDIBLE. A must-try for the brave

Aquaconda
You’ll race down a tunnel in the dark, reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h. But the most impressive part here are the turns and whirlpools… You’ll be propelled against the side walls to a height of over 4 meters. Thrills guaranteed.
Attractions like The Odyssey of Terror and Zoomerango are also designed for the most adventurous visitors. These two rides are experienced in groups, on large inner tubes. For solo thrills, you’ll find what you’re looking for with Blackout or Poseidon’s Revenge.

Shark Attack
Some slides also have surprises in store for you, each one crazier than the last, like Shark Attack, which we absolutely loved. You can ride down this tunnel sitting two to a tube. For the entire first part of the ride, you’ll be immersed in darkness, and then….. you’ll find yourself in the middle of an aquarium, inside a transparent tube, allowing you to admire the fish, rays, and sharks. The experience is relatively short but INCREDIBLE!

River Rapid
Among the park’s must-try activities is the River Rapid ride. It’s the world’s longest whitewater ride, stretching over 2.3 km! It’ll take you just under an hour to complete the ride…
You’ll ride through wave pools, waterfalls, and rapids on an inner tube, either alone or with a partner. You’ll also get to ride slides of varying speeds and twists and turns. If you’re with young children, no problem—there are lifeguards at every rapid section. They’ll guide you toward the safest routes.
Fun fact: the river is so wide that we actually lost sight of each other!

Children’s play areas
For the little ones, there are many play areas called Splash Pads. They can have fun in pirate ships, mazes, slides, and water jets… Great times ahead 🙂
Lifeguards are everywhere, keeping an eye on the youngest children—which is truly reassuring for parents.

Swimming with dolphins at Dubai Dolphin Bay
It was by far the most wonderful experience we’ve ever had at Aquaventure Waterpark. Let’s be honest, it’s pretty expensive (the activity isn’t included with a standard Aquaventure ticket). But it’s definitely a moment we’ll never forget! It was for our daughter’s 10th birthday, and it remains a moment etched in our memories. We highly recommend it!
Dolphin Bay prices: adults €172 / children: €154 €
This price includes admission to the water park (don’t buy a second ticket for the water park)

You can also go zip-lining, cliff jumping, surfing, or relax on the private beach. Restaurants and ice cream stands are located throughout the park.

Aquaventure Dubai: The World’s Largest Water Park
Aquaventure is the newest water park in Dubai. It complements Dubai’s two other major water parks: the Wild Wadi WaterPark, which is older but less expensive, and the Legoland Waterpark.
Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark is considered one of the most extreme water parks in the world, offering spectacular attractions suitable for the whole family and young children. It’s also an opportunity to encounter all kinds of marine animals (sharks, rays…)
The park in a few figures:
- 22 hectares of activities
- 79 water slides
- 18 million liters of water
- 1 private beach stretching 1 km
The park features various zones (Tower of Neptune, Atlas Village, etc.), each with its own set of attractions and architectural style. The entire park is tastefully designed with meticulous attention to detail. You’ll be transported to another world for the day.

How to get to Aquaventure Dubai?
The Atlantis Dubai is located, as its name suggests, within the famous Atlantis Hotel in the Palm Jumeirah district. To get there, we recommend either taking the monorail or taking a taxi. The taxi fare will be approximately 120 AED (about 30 €).
Personally, we took a taxi there—to save time, since the train doesn’t run until 9 a.m. We took the Palm Monorail back (also to save time, since many people are waiting for a taxi driver when leaving the park). It’s a really fun experience.
When you arrive in front of the Atlantis Hotel, you’ll pass through a shopping area. Signs will help you easily find your way to the water park. You can’t miss the entrance! Young men with tridents will immediately get you in the mood 😉

What are the opening hours for Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark?
Dubai’s Aquaventure Waterpark is open every day from 9:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.. Depending on sunset, the evening closing time may vary and be at 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM.
Our review of the Atlantis Waterpark
We spent a whole day at this park and loved it! It was definitely the best day we had during our first trip. From the top of the slides and from the beach bordering the park, the view of the Burj Al Arab is magnificent. The scenery is impressive, and the attractions are perfectfor thrill-seekers and young children alike. There’s something for everyone.
The only downside is the closing time. Since the park closed at 6:00 p.m. during our visit, we weren’t able to experience all the different areas of the park.
A tip for planning your itinerary: if you have young children, consider planning a more relaxed day for the next day—they’ll be tired 😉
Personally, we had planned a trip to the Dubai Desert the next day. Since it started at 2 p.m., that gave them a chance to sleep in a bit in the morning. As you can tell, our review of this park is overwhelmingly positive. We highly recommend booking your tickets for this park. We promise you’ll have a wonderful day filled with laughter!
