The Best Attractions at Wild Wadi Waterpark
Wild Wadi Waterpark, located on the shores of the Persian Gulf in the Jumeirah neighborhood, is one of Dubai’s most famous water parks. That’s no surprise, it was the first to be built and, most importantly, it’s the second-largest in the city!
The park is really fun, featuring decor inspired by the character Juha from Arab folklore. You’ll find yourself immersed in a typical Middle Eastern atmosphere, which truly makes this park unique.
Various activities are available, such as thrilling water slides, a wave pool, and a surf simulator.
Jumeirah Sceirah, the most impressive attraction
This slide is probably the most impressive in the park. Climb into the capsules located 32 meters up and wait for the moment of truth… The gate beneath your feet will open when you least expect it, and you’ll slide down 120 meters at a speed of nearly 80 km/h. Thrills guaranteed!
For those seeking thrills, this is the ride for you.
This ride offers a great view: before boarding the capsule, take a moment to admire the magnificent view of the park and Dubai.
Wipeout and Riptide, the surfing simulator
This attraction is unique to Dubai and a must-see for thrill-seekers. Here, you can try your hand at surfing: on your stomach, on your knees, and even standing up for the most skilled. It’s truly a different kind of attraction from the water slides where you simply let yourself slide down.
Juha’s Dhow and Lagoon, a Family-Friendly Activity
While many slides are designed for thrill-seekers, Wild Wadi Waterpark is still very much a family-friendly park with plenty of activities suited for little ones. Juha’s Dhow and Lagoon is a giant water playground. Slides, water guns, secret passages, a huge water bucket… Your kids won’t want to leave, that’s for sure.
Breaker’s Bay, the wave pool
Right next to Juha’s Dhow and Lagoon, you can take a dip in Breaker’s Bay or relax on one of the many lounge chairs. Breaker’s Bay is the largest wave pool in the Middle East. Wave sessions are interspersed with calm periods. Personally, we didn’t find the waves very impressive. They just give you a gentle toss about. On the other hand, it’s ideal for young children!
Tantrum Ally, the inner tube slide
Our favorite activity (which we did over and over again) was Tantrum Ally. Four of you ride down a slide with very sharp turns in a large inner tube. Thrills and lots of fun guaranteed!
Wild rivers, wave pool, thrill slides…
The list of attractions doesn’t end there, but we still want to leave some surprises for you. Wild Wadi Waterpark is a diverse park with attractions for everyone —from the most daring to the most timid.
Tip: Take a photo of the Burj Al Arab
Thanks to the park’s location, you’ll have a superb view of some of Dubai’s iconic landmarks. In fact, it’s located right across from the famous Burj Al Arab hotel. This is the perfect opportunity to take a great photo with the park’s pools in the foreground.
But that’s not the only unique hotel you’ll see. The Jumeirah Beach Hotel, which truly has a unique shape, is also located right next door.
You’ll also enjoy free and unlimited access to the water park if you stay at a Jumeirah hotel.
Tickets for Wild Wadi Waterpark in Dubai
No matter which attraction you want to visit in Dubai, we recommend booking in advance. That’s because there can sometimes be long lines. With a reservation, you can skip the line and get into the park quickly.
Admission to the park is free for children under 3. The ticket grants you access to Wild Wadi Waterpark for a full day.

How to Get to Wild Wadi Waterpark?
The park is located on the beachfront in the Jumeirah neighborhood. We recommend taking a taxi to get there. In fact, the metro stop closest to the park is Mashreq on Line 1 (red). You’ll still be quite a distance away, so you’ll need to take Bus 81, which stops at the Burj Al Arab Hotel stop.
Our Review
We had a great time as a family, but overall we were disappointed. The park isn’t very big, and you can see everything pretty quickly. On the other hand, it’s not very crowded, so you don’t spend much time waiting in line for the rides.
Note that if your children are under 1.10m, they won’t be able to ride many of the attractions. They’ll only have access to the wave pool, the wild river, and the Juha’s Dhow & Lagoon play structure.
Personally, we preferred the Aquaventure Waterpark located on Palm Jumeirah. It offers more attractions, each one more extraordinary than the last. Wild Wadi is perfect for spending a quiet afternoon and cooling off.
